Langmaid sticks with Demons

The Latrobe Football Club is excited to announce that our senior coach, Matthew Langmaid, has agreed to continue his appointment into the 2009 season.

Latrobe Football Club President, Jeremy Rockliff, said Langmaid has made a positive contribution to the Club since his appointment last October and we welcome his ongoing commitment.

“Matthew’s experience and professional approach to his position in 2008 has provided an environment of learning and growth that enables our club to be the best it possibly can be, both on and off the field,” Rockliff said.

“We believe Matthew is the person to mentor and lead our football department into these exciting times, and therefore look forward to the remainder of 2008 and into 2009 with anticipation and optimism.”

“Matthew has a great deal of respect from the playing group and a very sound football knowledge that he is able to convey to the players.”

Langmaid said he is very positive about the future at the Demons.

“Now that I have gained a sound knowledge base of the players and playing group I am looking forward to building on this and working with the players into 2009,” Langmaid said.

“An exciting period exists at Latrobe Football Club and with this in mind I believe that the senior Coaching role is more crucial than ever in developing and encouraging our local talent to represent their club in a manner that provides for our sustainability in the competition and standing in the community.”
